We all want to find that special someone...

This is my very first blog!  I have wanted to do one for such a long time but was waiting for what I really wanted to talk about/share with/learn from/laugh at. I was waiting for that perfect moment when I would have relationships all figured out, when I had attracted my perfect mate, fallen in love and lived happily ever after. Then I would be the relationship expert, the love guru, the professional match maker.  That hasn't happened yet - it's been 10 years since I separated from a 13 year marriage - not for lack of trying.  I have done my fair share of dating, online and otherwise.  I have cried, laughed, serial dated, double dated, played the hermit and more.  My experiences have been amusing, heart breaking, entertaining, humbling, confusing, depressing, inspiring, boring and exciting.   You always hear that it's all about the journey; our biggest lessons in life come from the doing, so instead of waiting for my 'dream' relationship before I shared my experiences I thought it would be more entertaining and real if I  shared with you now...in this moment...a very desperate one indeed.  I am single, 51, full of 'joie de vivre', younger than my age, in looks and attitude, smart, witty, compassionate, loving, dedicated, curious, loyal, honest, motivated and beautiful...inside and out.  But for some reason I am still single.  I am the perfect catch.  We all are.  There's someone out there that is perfectly matched for each one of us...so why are there so many lonely, wonderful single people out there?  I am here to help YOU....and me!  By helping you, I would be helping me...the teacher learns through teaching. I know that your experiences will offer me new insights and guidance. By sharing our experiences we will assist each other along the path of finding "that special someone".  He/she is out there waiting to find you or be found.  I will cheer you on, through the tougher times and the super exciting times too!
There is so much we can explore together...it's always more fun when you're on an adventure with someone!  Sharing is twice the experience.  I feel so much better taking this first step to write my first post.  I look forward to meeting you, sharing with you, crying with you and celebrating with you.
